I'm going to take a different tack. I'm going to randomly select cities that come to mind or were listed by others, and suggest alternative names.

Silver City NM = Silverites
Key West FL = Keyholers
Imperial Beach CA = Imperialists
Las Cruces NM = Crucifiers
Connecticut = Connecticuties (fem)
Hayfork CA = Hayseeds
Bend OR = Benders (with Futurama, they even have their official animated mascot)
Poway CA = Powegians (of all of these, this is actually the official demonym)
