When I read the title, bestiality crossed my mind.

Sheesh.... some people....

What animals are you asking about? Some states I have visited were very dog friendly, but it would be difficult to keep horses or the sort of livestock on your own property....

In general, most rural areas are best for having animals. But if you like cities, there are lots of very dog friendly areas such as California and Colorado (that I have personally visited)- with the exception of some parts of Colorado having BSL laws. I believe Florida has quite a few dog friendly areas (I have friends there, but I have not personally been there). Houston does not have many dog friendly areas, but its somewhat close "neighbor" Austin has many more options on dog friendly locations. So some states will have areas that have many more options for being animal friendly, then 2 hours away in another city, may not have as many options.
