So since we're all a days away from totality.

Who's heading out to see totality?
Who is lucky enough to get totality without going anywhere?
Where do you plan on watching it?
Will work or school prevent you from seeing something amazing?

Who's excited?

Up here we'll get 87% totality which is just enough to darken the sky a tad bit.

I'll be visiting family in the St. Louis area. Large swathes of city and metro are in the totality zone.

I'm driving down to St Louis on Sunday afternoon and hanging just south of there for the eclipse and then driving back up to Chicago Monday afternoon.

Here in Columbia SC, we're getting total for about two and half minutes. We'll be heading out on Lake Murray, with just about everyone who has a boat. I'm thinking crazy as hell. I'm self-employed, so I'll be missing work with a beer in my hand, and Pink Floyd on the stereo. The whole state is pretty excited.

The first State to experience the eclipse will be Oregon. And this warning...

'Not a good idea:' Why you shouldn't try driving to the eclipse Monday morning | KING5.com

BTW, forecast calling for sunny skies throughout Oregon for the eclipse. Or atleast sunny for "most" of the day!

Traffic already backing up in Oregon.

Eclipse traffic already backing up in Central Oregon; East of Prineville, traffic backed up 14 miles Wednesday night

I think I will just observe from my deck in Richland, WA. I thought of driving south, but my instincts tell me to stay put and just observe a 95% totality here in the Tri-Cities.

I'm more excited to see the 2024 eclipse, but that hasn't stopped me from whipping up a pinhole camera!

I am in Greenville and nearby Anderson and Clemson (the college town of Clemson University) are in the path of totality. I believe Clemson is the only major university in the path.

We'll be floating in Charleston Harbor. I'm quite sure we've lost our minds.
