Probably, a thread like this has been done before, numerous times, and if so, apologies. The general ground rules are simple enough. Pick a metro that you are either from, live currently, or have close connection to, and post a few pictures of the outstanding buildings within it. It can be anywhere within the metro really. I'll start with my hometown of Cleveland, OH.

Historic:
1. Cleveland Arcade

2. West Side Market

3. Terminal Tower

4. Severance Hall

5. Moreland Courts

Modern:
1. Atrium, Cleveland Museum of Art

2. Weatherhead Building, Case (Frank Gehry)

3. Rock and Roll HOF

4. ASM International

5. Key Tower (Cesar Pelli)

I like the Poinsett Westin hotel building in downtown Greenville SC and the old Greenville County courthouse to the left of it is cool too. The hotel opened in 1925.

I have a lot. In no particular order:

1. Woolworth building
https://www.google.com/search?q=wool...w=1366&bih=662

2. Queensboro bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, and Manhattan bridge (tie, couldn't pick one bridge).

3. Manhattan Municipal Building
https://www.google.com/search?q=manh...w=1366&bih=662

4. Chrysler Building
https://www.google.com/search?q=chry...w=1366&bih=662

5. NYSE

6. Herman Berh Mansion (possibly my favorite)
https://www.google.com/search?safe=o...zTVe2o#imgrc=_

7. Trinity Church

8. New York by Gehry
https://www.google.com/search?q=new+...w=1366&bih=662

And putting together this list I realized I didn't have too many modern buildings, so I'm including 2 more under construction right now, which are not even complete yet but are well on their way, and have already become architectural favorites of mine

9. Steinway Tower
https://www.google.com/search?q=stei...w=1366&bih=662

10. Tower Verre

I really was pleasantly surprised when I visited Greenville. I think it might be my favorite city under 100K in the US. Good collection of architecture, very inviting, safe, and vibrant, and outstanding public spaces too. The way that so much is along that Main Street makes it feel very bustling, and there are cities much, much larger than Greenville that would be thrilled if they could get even some of the urban/downtown retail that Greenville has.

Glad to see people posting great pictures of buildings from large cities (and ones I haven't heard of in some cases from those places), but also some smaller cities that many (including myself) may not be that familiar with. If enough people post in this thread, it could be useful as a reference guide when passing through many of these places when traveling around the country, to give one an hour or two "urban stroll" in (Name Your City).

I can't find ever one picture of the exterior that looks really good. The mosaics and hand painted ceilings are exquisite.

There's quite a bit of that going on. Probably about 25% of their buildings are Victorian era mansions. It's across the street from the updated riverside park.
