New Orleans is the only one I really, really want to visit.

I'd also like to visit Chicago, Philadelphia and Atlanta. I've visited most of the other major cities in the U.S.

I've been to almost every major city in the eastern half of the country. The only ones I've missed that I want to go to are Philly and Pittsburgh. I've only been to the west once - on a road trip to the Badlands and Black Hills and then through Wyoming to Denver. I loved it, so I think my focus now is on the west.

We prefer visiting national and state parks to spending time in cities. We also love to take trips on boats and trains. I am talking about the small train trips like the Smoky Mountain Railroad and the Durango Silverton Railroad. If we visit a place and it has a boat or a train trip, that is first on our list of things to do.

I'm not a city person, but these are states/areas I haven't been to and would like to see:

Maine, specifically around the Rangeley Lakes. I've spent some time in Portland, but would like to go out into a wilderness area.

Yellowstone is also high on my list, and Montana and Wyoming in general

Great Lakes, any of them

Alaska

Haven't seen any of Texas or the southwest. Would like check out Austin, Phoenix, Albuquerque, and would add Houston except not now after Harvey. I've also always been curious about Tallahassee -- more so than even Miami, where I've also never been. And someday maybe Denver, though it's not high on the bucket list.
