I'd like to know which one of these states would be more welcoming towards a hipster? I'm looking for cultural activities, thrift stores, availability of alternative music, and generally progressive attitudes.

Are there even any hipsters in Arkansas? Are redneck hipsters a thing? The answer is California of course.

Little Rock has surprisingly progressive elements to it. The Hillcrest/Heights neighborhoods are quite hipster. Outside of that and NWA around Eureka Springs there really isn't much. Most of Arkansas is Bible Belt to its core.

Didnt you also start a thread pitting Arkansas against NY? It's like you're trying to embarrass AR or something.

Answer: CA

Well to be totally honest with you California would be much better for "California hipsters" and "Arkansas" would be better for "Arkansas hipsters".

Arkansas might actually be better for hipsters in some ways since it's a lot cheaper

Do Arkansas and then report back on how it goes. Do you want to be a little fish in a big pond or a big fish in a little pond? Try Eureka Springs, Hot Springs or Little Rock.

There could be more hipsters in Little Rock than there are in Yreka, but California overall has about a thousand times the offerings of Arkansas.

Michigan, too. Creating threads that ultimately denigrate Arkansas is his entire repertoire.
