Im taking a trip from Colorado Springs and going to my hometown Cleveland a week from today.Im taking I-70 for most of the trip, and that will take me through Kansas,Missouri,Illinois,Indiana, and Ohio.I wanted to know if there is places that there is that you can stop at for a couple minutes at a time to see sites in those states? This isn't the first time I've gone back to Cleveland from COS,but I usually take the northern route.I've only taken the southern route once, and that was three years ago. What I want to know is there alot of good places where you can get off I-70 and get good pictures of the cities on the route? The cities I wanted to take pictures of are Kansas City,St. Louis,Columbus, and Indianapolis.

Not sure about spots to take pictures in those cities, but National Geographic publishes a book called "Crossing America -- Guide to the Interstates" that lists every interstate in the country and identifies various "places of interest" along the way. It also profiles all of the various cities you will cross on interstates (each city profile is no more than a page) and suggests things to do in that city. It's a helpful book if you are going to be on a road trip and want some ideas for stops you can make that are on or near the interstate.
