Bryce Canyon, the Salt Lake, clean air, views of the rockies.

I only drove through once, and didn't have time to go see the Great Salt Lake, or even visit any cities - was driving through from WA to TN. But, after a long, harrowing night of driving on highways in the dark with tons of construction and finally finding my motel (traveling alone in an old VW Squareback in 1980), I woke up, and went outside my motel room to go find coffee, looked up and saw the Rockies for the first time. It was breathtaking.

Always meant to go back. Still hope to see Bryce Canyon before I die.

I've found Mormons to be very nice people. Especially the ones who blow it once in a while by drinking coffee, etc., LOL.

But, without knowing really anything about the state, when you ask what first comes to mind, it's beautiful scenery and clean air.

I just think of the parks in the south. I really enjoyed the time I visited.

Thank you, everybody, for your comments so far. Most of them have been right on. A lot of good + a bit of weirdness.
