When I think of Utah I think of all the fun time I spent visiting my grand parents and cousins who lived there. We had a blast!

Utah is beautiful. I would never live there for other reasons, but I understand the culture and religion. I have no negative feelings toward residents there, but it isn't for me. We should all understand our differences and accept them.

And the rest of you please stay out. That goes for Jackson and Telluride as well.

Agreed! We live in a beautiful country and it's varied enough that we should all be able to find someplace that's just right for us. There are places I wouldn't want to live either, but I would like to at least visit every state. So far, I've been to just over half of them.

I really appreciate all of the participation on this thread, by the way. I'm just so used to hearing people say, "Mormons," when asked what they think of when asked about Utah. So it's fun for me to hear the other answers, too. I was born and raised here and am now 69 years old. I have been interested in Utah tourism since I was in high school and I volunteer at the Salt Lake City Visitors Bureau every summer. And while I'm thinking of it, if any of you posters are ever planning a trip to Utah, please feel free to DM me. I can give you tons of suggestions as to what to see and do.

The beautiful nature of Utah comes to mind before "Mormons".

Southern Utah, Moab, the mountains around SLC. Utah is a gorgeous state.
