The Westcott neighborhood has a co-op market and there is a farmers market at the Westcott Community Center every Wednesday during the warmer months. There is also the CNY Regional Market: CNYRMA You also have other markets in the city/area that have organic foods. Westcott has a business district and is several blocks east of Syracuse University.

May add a little bit more later.

This connects that general area to Downtown as well: Connective Corridor
A spot you may like along the route: Strong Hearts Cafe
Location near the university: https://www.strongheartsoth.com/
A restaurant on Westcott with veg options: Alto Cinco
Another place on Westcott: Munjed
Co-op market a few blocks south of the business district: Syracuse Real Food Coop

BTW- the median age of people in the city is 29.7 according to 2010-2014 information(29.9 according to 2011-2015 info). Those 20-34 make up a little over 27% of the people in the city according to 10-14 information(32.5% are ages 20-39 according to 2011-2015 info). Outside of the 20-24 age range, there are actually more men than women in the city from ages 25-39 according to the 2011-2015 info. https://factfinder.census.gov/faces/...w.xhtml?src=CF

I second Rochester, NY. Look into Syracuse, NY and Allentown, PA too. Good luck wherever you end up!

Also, if you want or don't mind smaller communities near the city, villages such as Manlius, Fayetteville, Marcellus and Baldwinsville are some that would fit in terms of a more small town feel within minutes of the city. Liverpool may be another village to look into. Manlius even has an art cinema that plays independent films: Home

Marcellus has a nice big park you can walk to and a nature area within a very short drive as well: Marcellus Park | Town of Marcellus

Welcome to Baltimore Woods Nature Center | Nature in Your Hands – Baltimore Woods Nature Center is a not-for-profit place-based nature education organization. Our mission is to connect people with nature, both from the headquarters on 180 acres

This nature area is a very short drive from Baldwinsville: Beaver Lake Nature Center » Onondaga County Parks

This shopping center is on the edge of the village of Fayetteville: Towne Center at Fayetteville | COR Development Company, LLC

You can walk to this park in the Liverpool: Onondaga Lake Park » Onondaga County Parks

All are walkable and have apartments that may or do fit your budget.
