Columbus, Ohio's Main Street is definitely not the main street of the city. High Street would take that designation.

There is a Main Street in Minneapolis along the east bank of the Mississippi River that is not "main" at all. The actual main streets would be Hennepin Avenue and Nicollet Avenue on the west side of the river. Main Street is in the part of town that used to be the city of St. Anthony before it was annexed by Minneapolis in the 19th century. St. Paul also has a short, quiet little street called Main Street in the downtown area but the real "main" streets are arguably 5th St. and 6th St.
