Arizona for me personally compared to other places I've lived. And, very live and let live. Hard to find that in many places. Seems like every region, though, has it's pluses and minuses.

The one where it is easiest to bribe somebody with power. As I understand it, New Jersey, Louisiana and New Mexico are good candidates.

That's funny. Arizona is the only state in the union that, in my lifetime, has ever had an enforced official policy for armed officers to demand that private citizens present papers to prove their identity on demand, without probable cause, even while not engaged in regulated activity.

https://www.freedominthe50states.org Arizona is # 14. Your experience was pretty horrible, but, overall, it's one of the "freer" ones.

But you can't veer more than 5 feet off the road or you're in private property...

You're a lot freer out west where you can start hiking on any land pretty much as it's public land.

Nevada, hands down.

Liquor/alcohol: Louisiana/Nevada tied for this
Cannabis: Handful of states but Nevada legalized this as well
Prostitution: NV is only state where it's legalized
Public land: among the greatest percentage in the country
Taxes: comparatively low

There is no other state that can compete on all these items. Nevada wins hands down.

paid whoring and liquor availability has nothing to do with freedom but keeping society safe as a whole.
Just like the murder laws.

Freedom is what counts
