Minneapolis has the most medical related start-up companies per capita in the country. The U of M, TC is currently pushing to become one of the top research schools in the World. I believe that their goal is to become the 3rd or 4th best.
Genetic Counselor/BioPsycholoy/Physicians Assisant (in the field of Genetics) -Which area do you think has the most concentrated industry (Research Universities, companies on the cutting edge of advances in medicine) and promise of more to come in the next 10-15 years? These are the States/Metro Areas that I think (leaving out the obvious metros with the Ivy league schools), but I'm wondering what else I am missing:
Northern California
North Carolina, especially the Raleigh/Durham area
Maryland, Baltimore area
I am looking to relocate for school. Anyone work in the above field/fields?thanks to you all!
Have you considered the UC Davis Health System and UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento? The medical center has been rated as one of the top 50 hospitals in the nation. The University conducts a great deal of medical research. The UC Davis School of Medicine has expanded and has a brand new teaching facility adjacent to the hospital.
