Minneapolis has the most medical related start-up companies per capita in the country. The U of M, TC is currently pushing to become one of the top research schools in the World. I believe that their goal is to become the 3rd or 4th best.

Northern California
North Carolina, especially the Raleigh/Durham area
Maryland, Baltimore area

I am looking to relocate for school. Anyone work in the above field/fields?thanks to you all!
Have you considered the UC Davis Health System and UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento? The medical center has been rated as one of the top 50 hospitals in the nation. The University conducts a great deal of medical research. The UC Davis School of Medicine has expanded and has a brand new teaching facility adjacent to the hospital.

I'm surprised that Houston wasn't one of the first cities mentioned...that place is a hub for anything medical.

Wow, forgot about that one. I grew up in Sacto and always thought of UC Davis as an agricultural school, which it really is; but their medical school is top notch and the Medical Center is top rated.
