Let's discuss:
Most Suburban-Like Urban Cities?
Most Rural-Like Urban Cities?
Most Urban-Like Suburban Cities?
Most Rural-Like Suburban Cities?
Most Urban-Like Rural Cities?
Most Suburban-Like Rural Cities?

Here's my take:
Most Suburban-Like Urban Cities: Jacksonville, FL. More population sparse than a lot of other cities, but not geographically isolated.
Most Rural-Like Urban Cities: Anchorage, Alaska. It's a city because it has mixed commercial/residential land use, has its own metro, & has a large sphere of influence over Alaska. However, it's also rural-like in terms of it's population density, metro predominantly lives in Anchorage, & geographic isolation.

Most Urban-Like Suburban Cities: Places like DC Suburbs(Bethesda, Rockville), Montclair, NJ. Suburbs with bigger downtowns, better public transportation, &/or a diverse ethnic/racial pool.

Places like North Bergen, NJ and Kearny, NJ. There are more denser suburbs in New Jersey like Guttenberg & West NY, but those feel more like small urban neighborhoods to me. I chose N.Bergen & Kearny because they have the suburban amenities(separate commercial and land use, large shopping plaza, downtown strip, typical suburban homes) but with urban-like qualities (density, close to densely populated areas, transportation, close to urban cities)

Most Rural-Like Suburban Cities: Suburbs with less of a city/town commuting presence, & more emphasis on a self-sustaining local community. Still not completely geographically isolated or tiny population though.
Most Urban-Like Rural Cities: Rural cities with good walkability, a downtown strip, & a bit better public transportation. Still has a small population &/ or is population sparse
Most Suburban-Like Rural Cities: Rural cities closer to cities with shopping plaza, more commutes, & residential/commercial areas farther apart

I guess for most urban like rural cities, many small college towns that don’t have any or minimal suburban development outside of city limits could work.
