the resident's list is pretty good. I'd say Rochester NY, Louisville, Nashville. For smaller cities but that have some similarity, I'd throw in Greenville, SC, and maybe Columbia, SC as well.

I wouldn't say most certainly. As mentioned earlier Kansas City, Cincinnati and Indianapolis are fairly similar as well.

One major similarity Richmond shares with Louisville but not those other cities is that they are very similar in size. Also both are Upper South/border cities.

They are also both river cities.

As does Cincinnati and Kansas City which are nearly on the same line if drawn to the west.
