Mine touts itself as progressive, but it really isn't. The image is all that counts to the city people. I'll let them have their fun and just ignore it.

Not at all. Though there are definitely people and small groups trying to make changes in the Dayton/Springfield OH area, for the most part it is still stuck in the past and people have refused to move beyond the long-gone industrialist heyday.

They must be taking your question as to whether their area is politically progressive (i.e. liberal), not policy progressiveness, etc.
