Since someone felt the need to bring in suburban rivalries in Illinois....I will list a few good ones in se Wisconsin. Racine vs Kenosha, Milwaukee vs Madison, and in Milwaukee itself several neighborhood rivalries and suburb rivalries...bayview vs riverwest, greendale vs greenfield etc. I am learning more as I started living in the region. Its fun

Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Due to being so close and so different, and Baton Rouge being the capital, while New Orleans being the largest.

Phoenix vs Tucson

Phoenix is neo-con, Tucson is more liberal. There's the 2 major state schools in each city and the communities are very different in feel. Tucson is more homey, and is less reliant on freeways. Phoenix is sprawling and new and has crap loads of chains.

I don't think New York has any city rivalries, although Rochester seems to think it's better than its neighbor cities...

The classic NY rivalry, of course, is Upstate vs. Downstate.
