Albuquerque was the setting of all the High School Musical movies. Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are both set in Albuquerque as well.
I've heard "Albuquerque" in some other stuff before as a joke or plot device since the name sounds so weird.

Don't know if this counts or not, but the Spurs and sports bowls like the Alamo Bowl and Final Four keep San Antonio relevant. I feel like more people are aware of San Antonio than they are San Jose.
I’ll throw Evansville, IN, in that mix. It’s small, but it’s over 120K population and has some colleges and such. Plus it’s not far from many other larger cities like Louisville, St Louis, etc...

San Antonio is a fraction of the size of #10. It's out of sight for a reason. (Municipal population isn't relevant here.)
San Francisco gets tons of coverage. San Jose is part of the SF area.

A couple movies were shot and set in Tampa, like Cop and a Half and The Punisher (2004)
