Florida is a huge retiree state. And Iím not sure where the year 2009 came from but New Yorkers were moving to Florida long before 2009. There are parts in Florida where youíll see more Northeast and Canadian license plates than Florida plates. Thatís the definately the case in some parts of West Palm Beach!

Warm weather and no state income tax are two major draws for retirees and older citizens. Business-friendly environments have helped bring a lot of jobs.

If you consider that Florida has the most senior citizens I'm sure it would have the highest death rate, so for it to be growing at a fast rate is unbelievable.

That means more people have to move in to account for the deaths, and people moving out.

Yeah, but the antique shopping is great. All these oldsters move there with all their cra9 and die, and their kids don't want to haul that all away. I know a gal with a shop in PA and she does Winters in Palm Beach, loads up a big truck for pennies on the dollar, and writes the whole trip off as a business expense.
"Why didn't I do that?"

Sounds like she has the perfect setup, i'm happy it worked out for her. I would love to move for half the year that'd be great.
