As the title suggests what US cities do you think are obsessed with their reputation / image?

A city is the sum total of it's residents' mentality.

I've lived in big cities, and know a lot of people in said cities. No one ever talked about the city's "image", but rather talked about the city's problems, about things they wanted to do, etc. "Obsessed" is a strong word, that (IMO) is used too much on this Forum. People aren't running around, anywhere, obsessing about what people think about their city....one hopes people have more of a life, than that. Imagine, people running around like chickens with their heads cut off, obsessing about what people think of their city. Silly picture that would be. While it may come to mind, now and then, obsessing....I don't think so.

Of course , I don't live in a movie and I know people don't go around panicking about what residents of other cities think about their city.
What I mewnt is like how Seattle for instance is obsessed with being that cool Nirvana, grunge town.
Or how LA is obsessed with being the show business capital of the world or how Las Vegas is obsessed with being "Sin City".
