Hey all,
Currently in Minnesota and it's always cold and snowing. I don't mind winter but 7 months is too much. There are a ton of jobs here but the weather and people make it miserable. I was wondering where in the USA is a good place to move that has a lot of jobs that pay well (so you can afford rent) and also affordable housing? Currently I work for a cable company and plan to go back to school for a computer tech or electronics degree. Any help or insight would be appreciated

And how do the people make it miserable? Iíve never once had a negative experience with the people of Minnesota while in town (I come at least 5x per year).

To your question (for computer & electronic industries)-

Raleigh-Durham, NC
Indianapolis, IN
Nashville, TN
Atlanta, GA

I live near the city people are really on edge and super angry while driving. Never happy it seems and no one will willingly talk to you. Even people up here acknowledge the "snotty" attitude

Check out cities like Greensboro-Winston Salem NC or Columbia SC which offer mild winters but four seasons, good job markets with decent pay, generally friendly people and perhaps more importantly affordable rent if planning to work and go to school simultaneously.
