Currently live in the south and really don't enjoy it at all: very religious and very humid are the two main things I don't like.

Can really live anywhere in the US as long as it's within an hour of a major airport.
Would like a less religious area; less conservative. Another words, here in the south before anyone says "nice to meet you," they ask "what church do you go to?"
Would love to live on a boatable lake as that's where we live now, but not mandatory. It would also be OK to live close to lake marinas.
Would like to have an excellent high school or a high school that supports learning disabilities.
Would prefer less humidity, but understand that rules out a lot of places.
Would prefer a place that doesn't get a lot of snow.
Love California, but not moving there because of the cost of living.
Have a budget of up to $1.3M.
Would also prefer not to live in a high danger area weather-wise (ie prone to hurricanes or tornadoes). I realize every place has their share of weather issues, but don't want to move dead into a place that is known for severe weather.
Would also like to not pay really high property taxes. Looked at some houses in the New England area and taxes were over $30K. Obviously, they get a lot of snow as well.
Want to be able to shop at organic supermarkets and have access to stores like Target, etc.

Are there any places that hit a decent amount of these marks?
