Default No bull places!

Has anybody ever lived in a place or know of a city, town or county that has the feel/appearance of a no bull lifestyle. What I mean is a place where government flows efficiently, crime is low for its size, good economy, good road conditions, recreation, dining, fair taxes, when problems occur they get noticed and fixed. I know they exist, anybody have any experiences?

Uhh utopia?
Really though, the closest to here would probably be NJ believe it or not. Aside from some of your run of the mill goverment corruption and extreme taxes,it's got some of the lowest crime in the country, the roads aren't bad(they shouldn't be with all the taxes),and recreation and dining are there also.

North Carolina. Everything seems to be perfect there, but it also makes it very boring.

NC may be the NJ equivalent but I still don't think it's got smooth government, but the dining is catching up with 'northern standards' I've heard

I have always thought of New Jersey (or at least pockets of NJ) as being very crime ridden. Newark has been named one of the most dangerous cities in the country several years in a row. I know there are very upscale areas of the state as well, perhaps thats what you are referring to?

the difference between NJ and a lot of other places is you can easily escape crime. once you get out of the "culprit cities", and by that I mean a few minutes out, crime is extremely low. you don't even need to get into the "very upscale" towns, just outside newark, camden, etc. rampant crime (violent or property) in suburbs is virtually unheard of.
