States with the least amount of gun violence
- Hawaii
- New Hampshire
- North Dakota
- Vermont
- Iowa
- Maine
- South Dakota
- Idaho
- Minnesota
- Rhode Island

States with the most amount of gun violence
- Louisiana
- Mississippi
- Alabama
- Maryland
- South Carolina
- Missouri
- Arkansas
- Tennessee
- Georgia
- Illinois

So my question to all of you is...out of those states with the least amount of gun violence...what state would you want to live in the most?
Honestly none of them. Maybe Hawaii because it's unique, but it's also too isolated. Maybe Minnesota too since MSP is booming, but I probably couldn't survive 2 days of the MN cold. The rest are no go's for me.

I much prefer the bottom list, even Illinois. I've been in 7/10 of those states and never felt in danger of being randomly shot for no reason.

I'm happy with where I'm at but there's some good choices on the first list. I could easily live in Vermont or Maine. The second list is concentrated primarily in the South which isn't my favorite region but I could live in Illinois if it is around Chicago
