That's either about percentage (not most jobs) or a lot of it is the low-wage factory, back-office, or call-center kinds of jobs.

Honestly, it feels like every city and town is being dubbed a 'tech hub'. Does that mean a lot of white collar tech jobs are there? Or does it mean lots of cutting-edge R&D is there? If it's the former, I'd say Vancouver (BC), as Amazon is moving north because of its tax spat with the Seattle City Council. If it's the latter, I think that's wherever bleeding edge companies are, such as Boston Dynamics.

Omaha and Lincoln ranked #1 in this one. The Omaha “Silicon Prairie” finally getting some national recognition. Tech job opportunities are abundant in the Omaha area.. People just seem to gloss over this reality..

Very true. And maybe not a good idea for every city to try to be a tech hub:
