Matter of fact:
The Federal government has criminalized marijuana under the Interstate Commerce Clause, which gives the Federal Government the power to regulate the channels of commerce, the instrumentalities of commerce, and actions that substantially affect interstate commerce. Additionally, under the Supremacy Clause, any state law in conflict with federal law is not valid. These issues were addressed squarely by the United States Supreme Court in Gonzales v. Raich, 352 F. 3d 1222 in 2005. Twelve US states had passed laws allowing some degree of medical use (9 of the 12 by majority vote of the citizenry), while a further six states had taken steps to decriminalize it to some degree. This movement sought to make simple possession of cannabis punishable by only confiscation or a fine, rather than prison. In the past several years, the movement had started to have some successes. These included Denver, Colorado legalizing possession of up to an ounce of cannabis for adults aged 21 and older, though this age restriction has been criticized as age discrimination, since adults under 21 cannot legally possess it. Yah, i live in Vancouver, and it pretty nice. well everyone thinks as smokin weed as no big deal.were appalled to think in america you get arrested and in trouble to smoke weed. and it is ridiculous.but yah, i've smoke weed with any buddies soo many times just walkin down the streets and stuff.no biggy. and i've been caught by the cops like over 20 times , and the cops dont do ****, well they do, they'll take your weed from you and make you stomp on it, and tell you it not healthy for you and then peace it. and when their gone, you try and salvage any weed that you didn't stomp or thats not too stomped on. lol. but hell, some cops just ask why i dont just smoke it at home and why im smokein weed out in public and ****, and then they dont even take ur weed or make me stomp on it. they just drive off, with all your weed in your pocket. but not likly, thats only happend a few times.

All over Colorado if you have a medical marijuana card you can walk into a pot dispensory store and buy it. Just like Amsterdam. They are popping up everywhere at a rapid rate. I read that at this time Colorado Springs and Boulder have the most

Personally, if it were my dad ( I mean my stepdad whom I greatly love), I'd grow the darn stuff myself for him if that was the only way to supply him something that really offered him comfort. I don't smoke period, and I'm not interested in marijuana one bit, but I know people in pain swear by it as a reliever of chronic pain and that's good enough for me. I'd be packing his Christmas stocking with hundreds of bulging joints and just not advertising it.

Not actually sure if it was ever illegal in Boulder..if you are born within the city limits,420 is just automatically genetically encoded in your DNA..instinctual to the degree as birds flying south for the winter.
