I remember visiting Vegas and it was still really warm at night while walking the strip. When I lived in Austin there were a few nights/early mornings I remember it got a bit chilly but for the most part it wasn't bad.

The heck?

Most of AZ is cold to extremely cold in winter, including lots of snow. Southern AZ is mild in the day, cold at night. Temps swings of 20-30+ degrees occur daily as the sun sets. It can be 70 in the day, and 35 at night at times. Winter nights here are definitely cold. This aint South Beach, honey.

The OP is asking for the majority of the year so why are people offering places in Nevada, New Mexico or even Houston or New Orleans. All of Louisiana and most of Texas only stays warm from late May to September. These places are not quite like Florida.

If you want the warmth for more than 4 months like south Florida you would have to look to places like South Texas (McAllen, etc) or southern California.

Not year round. Winter nights in the desert are much colder than they are in Florida.
