Can't wait to be there! Thats what I hate about a lot of places, to have fun mostly involves spending money. So to be somewhere that is enjoyable without ALWAYS having to buy something to have fun will be awesome! But I'll be alright.
Arizona - Love the desert. Sedona would be first choice, or Lake Havasu. Tucson and
Phoenix good too. Pools, sun, casinos, palm trees, sunsets, monsoons. Love
the smell of desert after a rain. The Tucson gem and mineral show one of the
largest in the world.
Oregon - Grew up on west side, and family still there. Love the trees and the hiking.
Horses, small towns, rodeos. Like to live on East side in Bend area, but no jobs
in my field. Rivers, more horses, and love the small of Ponderosa pine.
Montana - Never lived there, but would love the horses, cows, small towns, less people,
and beautiful trees and scenery. Close to Yellowstone and Wyoming, which I
also like.
Idaho - Same as Montana
Colorado - Never lived there either, but the mountains and springs flowers look lovely.
Cost of living cheaper than some other western states.
Guess I forgot about Hawaii. That would be #6. Beaches and tropical living.
Alaska- Seems to be the last frontier, cheap land beautiful scenery.
West Virginia- lived there before have family there, its cheap and its an awesome all around state.
Maine- again seems to be part of the last frontier
Idaho- last frontier, beautiful scenery, cheap land
Arkansas- was there 1 time and loved the area and the people.
The point I'm trying to make is that if people are more willing to move to Alabama, than that's a strong indicator that Kentucky really is not a very desirable place to live among people outside the state. That's all. I guess it would draw people from West "Virginny" who are looking for a "step up."
Maybe if I lived in Alabama (in a "booming" area) my perception would change, but I've been there three times. It's not a bad place, I just don't see what's so great about it.
Ha Ha, not sure if you've been to the eastern portion of Kentucky or not. But it makes WV look very cosmopolitan. Just letting you know, and stop kidding yourself KY is just as bad as WV. Everyone from eastern KY comes to Huntington, WV to go shopping, for health care needs, JOBS, and services. Yeah you have Lexington, and Louisville, which for some reason locals there call it. "Luville ???" Those are two nice cities. But, yeah never head it called West Virginny before either, how creative
