Depends on how you define walking distance, I can walk to the three bars in my downtown in 5 minutes, the furthest bar in my town is a sports bar just over 2 miles away, I could easily walk there if I wanted to.

At least 6 bars and probably 4 brewery/tap rooms within 1/2 a mile of my door.

Yes I do. Not sure how important it is. I like my local sports bar 2 blocks away and I like being able to play trivia 1 block away, but neither are part of my lifestyle or anything. But I do like that I can walk rather than Uber.

We do have a library within walking distance. And a grocery store, drug store, several locally owned restaurants, coupla gyms, etc.
We have all that too, PLUS a bar (with a great happy hour) and small cafes where beer & wine are served! But then that's important to *us*

There is no neighborhood bar in our entire city of 60,000. We have 3 small strip malls, and maybe 4 restaurants that serve drinks, but no bars.

Yes, there's one within walking distance, but it's really skanky. I'd need to hire an Uber or Lyft if I wanted to go to one with a semblance of class above skanky.

To put it into perspective - it's right next to a Frederick's of Hollywood, and I have a sneaking suspicion it may even be a strip bar. Lots of leather-clad biker types and a leather-clad woman bouncer out front with tons of tattoos and a butch haircut.

To each his own, but not my kind of place.

I'd rather stay home. But, my home is my little castle. I have nothing I am trying to escape here.

No and no. Nearest bar is about 7 miles away.

The times I lived within a 30-minute walk from a bar, I never went anyway.

Sort of, the closest bar to my place is 3.7 miles, or 9 minute drive.

There’s a library across the street (and several restaurants, boutiques, an ice cream store, and a lot of other stuff) and down the block from the bar. We’re cultured alcoholics apparently.

Well, I could walk to it but it would involve walking along a winding, hilly, blind-curve road with no sidewalk available.

So I voted no.
