What outdoor activities does Texas have not available in NY or Maine?

I know of several outdoor activities in NY and Maine that are not in Texas:
  • Ice skating
  • Downhill Skiing/Snowboarding
  • Cross-country skiing
  • Snowmobiling
  • Snowshoeing
  • Ice fishing
  • Ice climbing
  • Tobogganing/Sledding
  • Iceboating
  • Winter camping
  • Pond hockey

I've also known people who have gone ice diving, and I have heard some even go lake surfing during early winter squalls. There have been auto races on frozen lakes. Maybe winter horse racing can be counted, as NY has many tracks and a winter racing season. There are also outdoor curling rinks in many places.
