No way to answer this. It totally depends on:

a) The type of work you have or want to have
b) The part of the U.S. or Canada you live in
c) How much money you have

All these are different for everyone

In my opinion, the US has a better quality of life FOR ME. Universally, Canada has a better quality of life, because it offers better health benefits, the cops don't suck like the US, less gun issues, and a better straightened governent.

US quality is better only for me though. It offers various climates and has better climates than Canada, the scenery is gorgeous, it doesn't snow a foot of snow all the time like Canada gets, the US culture is just more fun except I don't support gun rights (I'm sorry).

You just can't beat the variety of the US it's unbelievable that Canada is even more northern than the Northern US, and the population speaks to that. It's an awesome country for what it's worth.

I voted US but only because it's too cold for me up there. I can't stand living anywhere but Southern California because I'm constantly freezing. But other than that, I'd probably prefer Canada.

When I was in Canada in early August, I took my family to a Blue Jays game. We got to know the guys in front of us and they kept apologizing for the heat wave. You know, temperatures around 82 degrees. I said, "No worries. This is late October for us in the South."

Let me put it to you this way. The United States (Particularly the South) for October-April. Canada for May-September. There's a reason the southbound interstates are clogged with cars carrying Ontario plates in November after all.

I'm actually from Canada, and living in MA. Canada is a wonderful country, and one that I love very much. My little girl won't grow up the same way I did, and I find that sort of sad. However, the reason I am here is the *incredibly* rich variety of the United States. Canada just feels so small relatively speaking. I'm not going to vote in this poll. For those of us that have lived in both countries, they are very difficult to compare in any sort of universal way. I love both my birth country, and my adoptive country.

I've never been to Canada, but I'm sure there are many, many positives about the country, and I'm glad that we have a good neighbor to our north.

That being said, I prefer a warmer climate for starters. And I love the US. The good, the bad, and the ugly - the pros and the cons - I still love the US and our way of life. I don't want to live anywhere else, though I do love traveling to different countries. Maybe I'll travel to Canada one day - during the summer.

How much money for the quality?

Being richer in the US seems more fun...
