Iím guessing this list is by large cities only. How true do you consider this? It says Long Island, NY and parts of the DMV are safer than San Diego ( Not by much).

New Orleans while in the top 3 is still quite a bit safer than Baltimore and Baltimore is softer still than St.Louis.

Car accidents kill more people than murder in the US, and there's a big difference from one location to the next. For example narrow streets and slower traffic tend to be much safer. In a "deadly" competition, I'd focus more on that.

Fun fact: Of the top 20 most dangerous cities in the world, St. Louis is the only US city to make the list, coming in at number 13. Baltimore almost makes the list as the 21st most dangerous. New Orleans comes in at 41, and Detroit at 42, but these four US cities are the only ones [in the US] that make it onto the top 50 most dangerous cities.
