Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina are all officially Southern states.
Culturally, I think most people consider all of Maryland and Northern Virginia to be Mid Atlantic, but when classifying the states as a whole, I think many would agree that VA and NC are Southern States.

Half the map images show Maryland and Virginia in the Mid Atlantic...

I know of companies located there have “Mid Atlantic” in their company names

It doesn’t really matter does it?

Have a good weekend everyone!
