Which cities do (and don't) have a large, "signature" park? (rating, large parks)

Some cities obviously have a very large park that is truly the signature park for the city, not only in size, but in amenities.

These would include:
• New York (Central Park)
• Philadelphia (Fairmont Park)
• Washington (national mall)
• Boston (Commons/Public Garden)
• Chicago (Lincoln Park..although Grant Park gives it some competition)
• St. Louis (Forest Park)
• Detroit (Belle Island)
• New Orleans (City Park)
• San Diego (Balboa Park)
• Los Angeles (Griffith Park)
• San Francisco (Golden Gate Park)

Which other cities have that kind of large, signature park?

And which cities have no park that stands out basically as the flagship and, in fact, there may be no large parks within the city? (this is not a negative; it merely means they are organized differently)

Houston has at least three notable parks, but not sure which one would get the signature rating:
Buffalo Bayou
Herman Park
Discovery Green

CHarlotte and Tampa are the closest IMO

Pittsburgh's is Schenley Park, which has the most amenities. Frick Park and Highland Park are also pretty large though. Visitors however are usually only familiar with Point State Park, since it is downtown and has quite a few events.

But Point State Park is our signature park dont you agree? Even though it has very little in the way of amenities it is one of the defining places in Pittsburgh.

I wouldn't include Discovery Green. Memorial Park would be better in my opinion.
