Default Teacher needs help deciding where to move

I need help. I have been living and teaching elementary school in Spain for the last seven years. I thought I had a future here with my boyfriend. But after four years, wedding plans, etc. he has decided to end it. It is too painful to stay here. Before I taught for the New York City Public Schools and I have no desire to move back there. My problem is I dont know where I want to live. Does anyone have any suggestions on a city for a single 40 year old elementary school teacher? I dont really like cold weather. I am certified to teach in New York and Massachusetts but dont want to return to either of those places. I dont know how hard it is to get certified in other states. I need to start fresh somewhere. I am hurting and cant think clearly but know that I need to start now...help!!!!
