I agree with that.

A town like Vail that appeals to people bc of a hobby probably is best example

Places that no one knows or cares about should hardly count for this.

Out of the top 20 cities by population I would say San Diego or Seattle get the least flack.

Overall: Charleston, SC seems like a good contender that most everyone is familiar with but few actively detest.

NYC gets flack for things like being dirty, people are rude, and that it's an over-crowded, over-priced hell hole with rats. But at the same time, its "center of the universe" reputation almost makes up for all of that flack.

DC is also seen positively by some, but its association with government leaves a bat taste with a lot of people. As a city alone though, I would agree it doesn't catch all that much flack.

San Francisco, deservedly, gets plenty of flack.

Charleston is such a neat city I can’t imagine it getting any hate directed at it. Same for Savanna Georgia.

Caring about babies before they're born...there, I fixed it for you. They're then free to go hungry and not receive adequate medical care afterwards...

uh......I thought the topic was which places get the less flack, not which place gets the most.

Obviously Alabama isn't a contender.

However, regardless of how you look at the issue in Alabama, it's still outside the purview of OP's original question.

Seattle gets flak for being socialist/having a huge homeless problem/growing non-stop. San Diego as well for their homeless problem/high rents.

Out of the lists others have posted, I can see good cases being made for Raleigh, Charleston, Savannah.

DC seems to slide right on by in many discussions moreso than other large cities like Chicago and Philadelphia.

I always thought you were liberal for some reason. Or is that only when you're trying to tout Greenville?

I am not sure how you got that impression.

When I tout Greenville on here, I am not talking about politics.

Do you still pretend you moved to Clemson.
