This probably explains my attraction to the more 'jungly' islands in the Caribbean.
Nearly all of the PNW has those three in conjunction.

I moved to the high desert six years ago (5500 ft) and fell in love with it. Spent 65 years in the Midwest (hills, forests, rivers) and had no idea how the desert would take me in. I'm within 30 minutes of tall pines and see five mountain ranges.

One of the prettiest places I've been was near the salt marshes in Florida and in North Carolina - green grass waving in the breeze and stretching to the sea - can't live there though.

I like forests and a lot of lush greenery with some hills/moraines. There needs to be rivers, wetlands, creeks and lakes...the bigger the better.

I enjoy visiting the mountain ranges of the Appalachians and the Adirondacks. I know they aren't as tall as the Rockies but I prefer their greenery and the abundance of wildlife in them.

I live near the ocean but it’s mountains and forests for me.

It's a toss up for me. I would love to live in an urban area with mountains, like Los Angeles. Also, I would love to live on a large, lake that you couldn't see the other side, near the ocean.

Not a fan of the forest, as all you can see are trees. I like a view. Living in Wisconsin, the forest would be my least favorite. I love the rolling hills, lakes, and rivers.
