I know about Ashland, Oregon, although I'm not much for Shakespeare. Interested in more traditional theater as well as things like improv/sketch and fringe fest and anything else. Thanks.
Williamstown Mass in the Berkshires has a very strong theater scene with its summer festival. Shows there attract top talent from Hollywood and Broadway and some shows from there will actually end up on Broadway.
