Actually, I think the real "jerks" are the ones who like to call other people names. Someone didnt like Omaha, big deal, live with it. You dont like Chicagoans (as dozens of your posts have pointed out), I could care less. Im not gonna lose any sleep over the fact that someone from Omaha doesnt like me. And personally, I found his description of Omaha to be quite funny, if entirely untrue.
No, I like people from Chicago who don't think have a superiority to the rest of the cities in the Mid-West. Thats all I see from the people who post here and I will fight for my city and I don't need the 'holy city of Chicago's' approval or censorships to do so. It doesnt bug me that people dont like Omaha, I can understand we arent appealing to some people, however, it does anger me when people insult my city from baseless, unresearched reasons.

Well, genius, if youd look back to the first page, you can see who started the whole thing. No Chicagoans thumbed their noses at anyone on this thread, nor would there be any reason too. People can respond back, but calling Chicagoans "jerks" gave me enough reason to respond. Comprende?
actually, I've noticed for quite some time now that it's actually Chicagoans who are the rudest on these boards, no offense to the few who are not. For the longest time, I thought it was the posters from Houston who were the most prideful and belligerent but I was very very wrong.
I guess the fact of the matter is, Chicago is a massive city that gets little global attention and its apparent that this bothers many of its citizens. Thank God for Oprah and Springer, right Chicagoans? Otherwise, all that comes to mind when thinking of Chicago is TALL buildings, most of which lack character. Chicago is basically a city of tract skyscrapers with a superskyscraper thrown in here and there to cover up the dullness

Regarding chicago, you forgot best downtown, culture, nightlife, public transportation, vibrancy of any city in America (other than NYC of course!)

I dont normally argue with 11 year olds, but here goes...
Why, I wonder, is Chicago normally ranked as having the best architecture in the USA? God, if what you think about Chicago's architecture is true, than SoCal's skylines must be the equivalent of a big ol, er, tiny dog turd with some flies crawling on it. Outside of San Fran, CA's skylines are as fun to look at as having your eyes gouged out with a wooden spoon.
