Shame on you for pointing out that urban centers have chains!

How about any Downstate (outside Chicagoland)? None, not even Peoria! Even Best Buy has a store in Peoria.

I remember laughing my butt off when I read in the NY Times that Steak 'n' Shake opened its first restaurant in NYC in 2012. They were mobbed by 20,000 people on opening day. New Yorkers lost their minds.

I live in the Midwest. We've had Steak 'n' Shake since 1934. They're no big deal.

By the way, the guy who started Shake Shack in NYC wholly admits that he ripped off the idea from Steak 'n' Shake. In other words, we've had "Shake Shacks" in the humble Midwest for about 80 years before the rest of the country.

I figured they'd be in south Florida. Orlando isn't a surprise either due to the number of tourists.

Fogo de Chao isn't as widespread as I thought, so that's definitely a feather in Pittsburgh's cap, especially with the location being downtown. Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Milwaukee, Nashville, Raleigh, St. Louis and Tampa don't have one yet, but Pittsburgh does. In fact, the only other metropolitan areas in the Northeast or Midwest with less than 3,000,000 population that do are Baltimore, Indianapolis and Kansas City.

I voted Four Seasons. Still seems somewhat exclusive as luxury hotel chains go. At least seemed the most exclusive on the posted list.
