I'm more of a City person. To an extent, I can't live in places like Manhattan or Los Angeles, but I also can't live in small towns with less then 30,000 people. I prefer cities that have between 100,000-500,000 people.

I definitely prefer Urban to rural.

I am a suburbanite person myself. Most of my life, I grew up in the suburbs. It is easier to maintain a life on a daily basis having grocery stores and shopping centers close by. I'm never too crazy living an urban and a rural life, so right in the middle is for me. Sure, one thing among the cons is the commute to the bigger cities from the suburbs.

Actually, every person has their own preference on where they like to live. Mine is based purely on my life experience and the idea of living in the suburbs really grew on me as a youngster.

I have lived in both rural and urban locations in my lifetime thus far. I grew up in North Granby, CT, which is quite rural, and lived for a while in New York, NY, which is the epitome of urban living in America. Both lifestyles have their pros and cons. However, I found urban living to be more exhausting and stressful in general. Jobs are more demanding and it's hard to relax when you have beeping taxis out your window and see 1 million people in your face per day.

I prefer rural living, but not to an extreme. Semi-rural or suburban is more my preference. I just can't stand people, commotion, traffic and noise. I'm an introverted personality and love nature. I couldn't care less about shopping, clubs and bars, entertainment, etc.

Life is just so much more relaxed and easier going in a rural community. But, it doesn't mean I would choose a rural home over an urban home if the urban home had something making me want to live there.

i prefer a more Urban feel with 100k or more. that is the type of place i grew up and i miss it. i live in the suburbs now and it's "ok", but it's not me.

my parents moved us to the suburbs cause they "thought" it was better for families, but i am starting to feel how wrong they were. i want my son to grow up in a place like i did

Urban preferably near a City, an hour or so away.

You should add a poll.

Rural/town for me. Tried the whole Urban/city scene and it just wasn't for me. Too many people for me.

Towns. I'd like to live in bigger towns than I have lived, but probably not one with more than 40,000 people. Being within an hour's drive of a city might be nice though.

Still I like that in towns or rural areas there's less traffic and noise, plus clearer night skies.

If we're specifying the population of towns, I would say i prefer those with a population between 10,000 and 25,000. I don't want to feel too isolated from society, either.

I'm a CITY person no matter what. I like small towns too. I think they're cute. Can't live there though, never.
