Of the 8 states that border MO, Illinois has the highest population. 50 cities off the top of my head:
Chicago, Elgin, Aurora, Joliet, Rockford, Peoria, Kankakee, Rock Island, Moline, Springfield, Champaign, Urbana, Vandalia, Effingham, Arthur, Arcola, Duqouin, Pinkneyville, Nashville, Marion, Carbondale, Cairo, Litchfield, Marissa, Grafton, Godfrey, Alton, Bethalto, Wood River, Edwardsville, Maryville, Waterloo, Columbia, Mascoutah, Belleville, Swansea, Alorton, East St. Louis, Madison, Granite City, Pontoon Beach, O’Fallon, Collinsville, Fairview Heights, Caseyville, Shiloh, Fairmont City, Brooklyn, Dupo, East Carondelet, Venice.
I think that was 51 actually.
Fun challenge!

Oklahoma: Texas is it and it would be easy to name 50 places in Texas. I'd think Texas would be one of the easier states to do that because there are at least 20 good size cites spread across the state that many people have heard of if for no other reason...western movies.

Are there fifty cities in Texas? There are...I cheated and looked at a list and would probably name 12-13 places greater than 50,000 pop and a few smaller ones. Suburb towns are mostly invisible and not destinations. Of the top 15 there are 4 or 5 that are under the radar but have a respectable population. I have actually been to 12 of the top 20, which surprised me. Some were forgetable. Never made it to Laredo or Lubbock.
