Which Western U.S. City Skyline Do You Like the Most?
Just as the title says, which Western U.S. city skyline(s) do you like the most and why (e.g. Mountain backdrop, waterfront, etc.)?

Seattle's skyline is definitely #1 in my book, density, mountains, sound etc etc. Los Angeles is a close second though, a skyline i believe that is highly underrated, it is a great example of a western city! And i think San Diego's is coming along nicely considering the height restrictions Not to mention BEAUTIFUL location! I also think Boise has a pretty nice skyline for a city its size. I think Denver's is the most dissapointing, for a city of its status its skyline is just not that appealing and it doesn't have the advantages that places like Seattle and portland have, beautiful scenery in town as well as the mountains in the distance. Kinda brown in town with not a lot of trees, which surprised me very much when i first visited! I was expecting scenery more along the lines of places like Seattle or Flagstaff, but its just not the case. Not saying Denver isn't a nice place because it is and i like it, if it wasn't so secluded it would definitely be in my list of potential places to move to.

SF and Seattle probably have the best balance of height, shape and density.

Seattle, by a long shot. San Fran second. Los Angeles third. The rest are pathetic and laughable, and not appealing to me whatsoever.

I voted for Seattle because it's on the sound and the backdrop of Mt. Ranier.

Not every city has to rely upon a skyline to cope with its NYC envy...

Actually in the West there is no envy of NYC skyline due to the fact that there are no mountains as a backdrop. Seattle has beautiful Mt. Rainer, Portland has Mt Hood, San Francisco's hills & the Pacific ocean make a great skyline, Los Angeles has the San Gabriel Mt & San Diego has the Palomar Mts.

Totally LA with Seattle in a close second. LA has a great skyline, even if it may not be massive, at least its very attractive with some good height!
