hm..How do you figure?

The first 3 cities to exsist in the USA are Chaokai (IL), Acoma Pueblo and Taos Pueblo (NM), and Oraibi (AZ).

Now, Acoma Pueblo and Taos Pueblo are the oldest continuously occupied towns in the US. San Juan is the first city to be founded by Europeans in the US. Pensacola (FL) was founded in 1559. St. Augustine (FL) was founded in 1565 and is the oldest continuously inhabited town in the continental US. Other American cities before 1666 (Newark's founding) include Hampton (VA), Kecoughtan (VA), Newport News, Albany, Jersey City, Plymouth, Portsmouth (NH), Gloucester (MA), New Amsterdam, and Salem (there are a lot more).

3rd oldest major city. I believe Newark is counted in a different tiered category, not quite sure why (pop)?.

I voted Pacific Coast, but if I could put in a 2nd vote, I might have voted for the Mountain region...
the cities in UT and CO do very well in most quality of life surveys.....
if there was an upper midwest category there, I could see that being a winner in this poll, however, since there's just midwest, well, a lot of the cities in the midwest (like Flint, MI, Gary, IN and Youngstown, OH)...really bring the region down.

For me its a tie between the Northeast(I feel like New England/Mid Atlantic should be grouped together) and the Western USA coastal cities. I decided to vote for Western USA coastal cities(Pacific coast)in this poll. I really could have voted either way.

It should have been, that difference in the Northeast is like the difference between SoCal and NorCal in California if you know what I mean. How is the Northeast split up like that, and then the Midwest and Southeast get to stay whole? He could've separated Florida from the Southeast after all. And then, the entire Pacific Coast from San Diego to Seattle, plus Alaska and Hawaii? Are you kidding? There was clearly an agenda here. New England and the Mid Atlantic, the Northeast, are a million times more united than CA, the Northwest, and the un-contiguous states.
