What if you live in a foreign third world rude crime filled country like me?

Welll, not meaning to be critical of the question...but being a Texan? While it might be accurate to say I live in the "Southwest"...it WOULDN'T quite be right simply because folks from New Mexico and Arizona would say the same thing! And I have truly yet to meet someone from either of those states who considered Texas as a whole "Southwest" in their definition of it. I agree with them.

To me, ok...Texas is Southwest as in "Western South". All in all, essentially the South with a post-bellum western character. New Mexico and Arizona are the southern part of the true West. It is a whole different critter historically, culturally, and all things connected....

And I emphasize this is ONLY my opinion and observations. Many of my fellow Texans might (and do) disagree..

Anyway, "Southeast" is easier (and likely many East Texans would answer so)...but "Southwest" is very relative to what other states are considered so classifed.

Ok...I am sorry for complicating this...and should probably just bow out and not answer! LOL

Cannot Western South be a qualification for answering Southwest?

I live in the West, which isn't an option. Colorado is certainly not midwest, northwest, or southwest.
