Default Road Videos!!!

I am a road geek - someone who enjoys traveling just to see what the roads look like.

Many road geeks make road videos that are 4X life speed and set to music. Here are some of mine:

YouTube - Louisville Highway Tour: Shelbyville Road

YouTube - Louisville Freeway Tour: I-65 nb

Here are some people that make ones much better than mine:

YouTube - I-95 North Through Northern Virginia

YouTube - Dallas Texas Freeway Tour

I love drives such as these. Your vids are awesome.

Here's a vid I found on youtube from the bay. The driver goes up the bay bridge incline and then gets off at treasure island(doesnt even make it into The City) then goes back Eastbound on 80 to Berkeley and drives around there.

YouTube - Sunday Drive in the Bay

Otherwise, here is a very scary one from my other hometown, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Dont try this at home..

YouTube - Descendo a 23 - Filmado de cima do viaduto - pombas noturnas

I would love to see one of US 287 in TEXAS from Dallas to Amarillo. Such an awesome strech.

Also I-10 from San Antonio, west to El Paso. So lonely, so beautiful.

Road geeks unite! I've been photographing the roads soon after I started driving just out of high school. However most of my stuff is in photographs and/or videotape. I just got a new DVD recorder so I hope to be converting things soon.

In the meantime a few websites that I frequent -

Highway Pictures

Welcome to AARoads - The Online Highway Guide!

Why Do You Have So Many Pictures of Road Signs?

Well I do have some vids favorited in my YouTube account, although they're not mine I enjoyed watching them -

YouTube - Uncle Salty & the Punisher's Excellent Adventure, Part 7

YouTube - Trucking in Nevada and California

Btw I like mostly the raw videos, where it's just straight driving with no effects or music.

WOW! I only watched the first - I LOVED IT! Now I know who the Driscoll Bridge is named after. Irony is though, 56 years later - it's the Parkway that's packed to the gills (plus I'm sure all the secondary roads too, like Bloomfield Ave, etc). But I can't imagine the state without it.

Thanks for posting these - you should post them in the NJ board!
