Nothing tops a New York Christmas. Nothing!!! Beautiful and pure heaven!!

I think I prefer the four seasons....I'm not sure.
I wasn't depressed. I went for a bike ride on Christmas Eve (it was 73 degrees) wearing only a T-shirt (no sweater or jacket).

It'd be weird seeing a palm tree in Rapid City, SD so I went with snow because that's not really so rare!

I love palm trees and all the different types they have. I constantly find myself observing the different types people have planted around where I live and never get sick of them.

Snow is cool for about a week then I'm over it.

My favorite scene though is palm trees swaying in the wind with snow capped mountains behind it, like in Hawaii (Big Island) and Southern CA. I love shots like these:

I am from Chicago, and I love the snow we get up here, but I also love seeing palm trees too, when I can. I am looking forward to my trip to Southern Utah this year, because I know they have palms down there. It's a pleasent change from what we have up here.

sav858- Nice pics. The middle one is L.A., the top could be anywhere along the foothills, but, where was the third photo taken? I liked the snow in Hawaii too, but it seemed a bit "mushy" and I was amazed at snow in Hawaii anyway. It's kind of like when one goes from Palm Springs and takes the tram to the snow. California amazes me in it's varied surroundings in such a tight area.

thanks!

I didn't take these but kind of remember where they said they were taken from:
The top photo I believe was somewhere below the San Gabriel Mountains.

The middle one was probably taken from a building in the South Bay/South LA. or the Palos Verdes peninsula

The bottom photo is that of Newport Harbor in Orange County so I'd assume it was taken maybe along the Balboa Penninsula, Balboa Island, or Lido Isle.
