Ironically the South isnt immune to winter either. neither is Flordia.
Funny is when it snows down south oh boy does society shut down .
Ill take my 4 seasons and variety in Indiana over the 2 season south anyday.
I agree that Florida does get cold. The South isn't immune to that kind of weather. It snows almost annually in many parts of the Piedmont and upper south. And yes, we do shut down when it snows. But the only part of the South that might only be 2-seasons is South Florida. But in reality, South Florida has 3 seasons: Very Hot Humid and rainy(summer), not as hot and humid but still humid and rainy(spring), and dry, sunny, and comfortable(winter/fall). So yes, if it did snow somewhere in South Florida, folks would lose their minds. But the Florida weather makes for great football players and great Superbowl hosting. So if you watch the NFL, you can thank Florida.

Some people just don't enjoy cold weather. There's nothing wrong with that. They don't "need" to do anything, though they might want to move somewhere more compatible with their own preferences. I know people who have lived here for 25 or 30 years and still hate the winters. That's unfortunate for them, but it isn't because they're lazy or any nonsense like that, any more than I'm lazy for moving here because I can't stand heat.

Default Christmas Time In France...

It's snowed on the French Riviera as well, as this beach scene shows. The palms are native California fans.
