Yeah, Houston is quite a bit of fun for sure! The bars are fun wherever you go and lots of good clubs too. I am definately never bored living here.

Miami seems like it would only be considered energetic and exciting in a few isolated areas, such as Miami Beach. Same for Vegas, where most all of the big name entertainment venues are concentrated on the strip.

Chicago, San Francisco, New Orleans (all more exciting than Miami or Vegas)

Thumbs up Anchorage, Alaska

Definately Anchorage, Alaska. What other city with more than a quarter million people has salmon producing streams, more than 1,200 moose, 400 black bears, and 50 grizzly bears all within city limits?

Well, the Strip is a pretty big place, with tons and tons of stuff going on. Plus, there's downtown Vegas. I wouldn't mind driving a few miles out to the Strip if I lived there.

San Francisco!

Houston has nice nighlife, though. I can agree there.

New Orleans has a great vibe too, and they're finally getting it cleaned up.

FACT
Compared to 10-15 years ago, NYC is seriously one of the most boring places on the planet IMO. Astronomical rent prices make it near-impossible for a lot of small nightclubs/bars to stay open, at least in Manhattan.

And contrary to popular belief, the city does sleep. They should call it Snooze York City. Ha ha ha!
