I give the nod to NYC because historically it has influenced America for far longer than L.A. and continues to do so. It's been our nation's largest city for over a century (or two?) and served as a major immigration gateway with Ellis Island. L.A. didn't start influencing the U.S. until the film industry came along in the mid-20th century.

Vatican>World>Europe>UK>United States.

That looks like the chain of command to me. Or more direct,

Vatican>UK>United States.

Vatican/Intelligence Agencies/Financial Institutions/Think Tanks/Military Sector.

Of course my secondary theory is that the Vatican is on one side of control of the world, and on the other are Bankers. With both having tons of appendant organizations to control from. The USA was subdued and reverted back to "under control" status a long time ago.

I voted for LA. Hollywood not only greatly influences the U.S., but the entire world as well. The entertainment industry is our nation's second highest export, right after military arms and ahead of agricultural products. I believe our weapons have a greater effect on other nations than they have on us. Otherwise, I would have said Washington, DC.

1. LA (Entertainment Industry)
2. DC (Foreign Policy, Trade Policy, Economic Policy, Military)
3. NYC (Wall Street, Fine Arts)
4. Houston (Energy Industry, Gas, Oil)

We have modern day European Crusaders. From the ricefields(Korea) or whatever, to the jungles(Vietnam), and to the deserts(Afghanistan, Iraq). Just like back in the old west days. Except now the war games are larger, they have more military toys, and a much more effective propaganda machine.

When the King of Spain is financing a privately owned highway right through your backyard, and your parks are designated "world" sites you know you've been taken to the cleaners.
